Humidity is the greatest enemy of photography/cinematography equipment. It is the amount of water vapor in the air. Water vapor is the gaseous state of water and is invisible. When the temperature and the relative humidity is high, the process of water evaporation is slow. Combining high relative humidity with drastic temperature changes, condensation can occur on surfaces. When condensation sets, it could lead to problems with mold, corrosion, decay, and other moisture-related deterioration.
