ApplicationA heat sealer is a pivotal machine extensively used in industries like packaging, food, medicine, and beverages, employing heat to seal various products and thermoplastic materials. Heat sealing is a widely adopted method for joining thermoplastics, ensuring product integrity and safety. Plastic bags, packaging, and other materials are securely shaped and sealed using heat sealers.
A Heat Seal Tester, tailored for laboratory applications, emerges as an indispensable tool for assessing the heat sealability of diverse surfaces, sealant layers in films, laminates, polymers, and composites. This compact heat sealer plays a pivotal role in replicating the sealing process with precision, controlling critical parameters such as time, temperature, and pressure.
The efficacy of seals in flexible packaging serves as a significant indicator of both functional performance and consumer convenience, making the Heat Seal Tester an essential asset for quality assurance.
StandardAdhering to ASTM F2029-16(2021) guidelines, our Heat Seal Tester meets the stringent standards set forth for evaluating the heat sealability of flexible barrier materials, ensuring reliability and accuracy in testing procedures.
Technical FeaturesThe HST-01 Heat Seal Tester is engineered to deliver unmatched stability and precision in heat sealing operations, guaranteeing exceptional sealing outcomes with every use. Key technical features include:
1. PLC control and an intuitive HMI touch screen interface for seamless operation.
2. Both upper and lower components crafted from aluminum to minimize heat loss and ensure consistent temperature during sealing.
3. State-of-the-art P.I.D. temperature controller for precise temperature regulation and efficient heating.
4. Accurate timing facilitated by a proximity sensor, enabling synchronized seal initiation with jaw movement.
5. Three-directional guiding of the sealing bar ensures uniform pressure distribution.
6. Enhanced safety features such as an anti-scald front cover and options for manual or foot switch initiation of tests.
7. Customizable seal jaws available in various dimensions, shapes, and patterns to meet specific testing requirements.
8. Optional RS 232 COM Port and computer software for enhanced functionality and data analysis (optional).
Test ProcessThe testing procedure involves placing a sample between two parallel heated sealing jaws with flat surfaces. Once the required temperature is attained, the upper seal jaw, propelled by a gas cylinder, applies pressure on the sample for a predetermined time. Upon completion of the sealing time, the upper sealing jaw returns to its original position, concluding the heat sealability testing process.
Heat Sealing EvaluationAssessment of heat sealability extends beyond the testing phase and includes evaluating seal continuity through methods such as air-leak testing, dye penetration, visual examination, or microorganism penetration, ensuring comprehensive analysis and reliable results.
