Penetrant Flux, quality improving agent for hot dip galvanizing has great influence
on the quality of the galvanization as the final pre-treatment process. This
is a new product that can improve the quality of your product as a flux additive
made from special surface active agent. KB-50 is a product that can cut down
the cost and improve the quality of the galvanization by adding a small amount
into flux.
1. Physical Appearance
- Appearance : Bright yellow or bright brown transparent viscous liquid
- Solubility : Completely soluble in water
- pH : 6.0~8.0(3% water solution)
- Smell : Almost odor-free, a little odor unique to surface active agents,
but is tis harmless.
- Inflammability : None
- Ionic property : Cationic
- Composition : special amphoteric & Cationic surfactant, Inorganic salts
- Effective concentration: 40±2.0%
2. Characteristics of effect of Penetrant Flux KB-50
- Faulty products can be decreased by improving flux's adhesive power.
- Faulty adhesion in galvanization can be decreaseed.
- It can prevent zinc from flying in the plating pot.(Decrease in flying 80~90%)
- It can decrease in flux's quantity to be used.
- Flux's circulating can be improved.
- Zinc Scum or other residuum is reduced.(Zinc Scum can be reduced as much
as 30~40%)
3. Property and State
- Appearance : No color or bright brown transparent liquid
- Solubility : Completely soluble in water
- pH : Neutral(5-8)
- Odor : Almost odor-free, a little odor unique to surface active agents,
but it is harmless.
- Inflammability : None

Notice
- In case the scum of the flux is not separated properly at the time of cooling,
add ammonium Chloride at the rate of 120kg per 10tons of unplated material.
- There is a little odor unique to surface active agents, but it is harmless.
- In case low foam is specially required, defoaming agent should be used additionally
or you should require low-foaming product.
- Flying of zinc is condiderably decreased with this product, but you should
always be careful when you go near the zinc bath.
- As the performance of this product can be varied a little depending on composition
of the flux, you can get a product with higher efficiency of you let us know
the state of the flux(composition and properties) before you use it.
