Sulfadiazine sodium is primarily used to treat meningitis caused by susceptible Neisseria meningitidis. It can also be used to treat: 1. Acute bronchitis and mild pneumonia caused by susceptible Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and other streptococci. 2. Nocardia asteroides. 3. Adjunctive therapy in the treatment of chloroquine-resistant malignant malaria. 4. In combination with pyrimethamine for the treatment of toxoplasmosis caused by Toxoplasma gondii. Items
