Description: 2,6-Dimethoxyphenol is a white or colorless crystal at room temperature, with a melting point of 50-56℃ and a boiling point of 261-264.5℃. It is slightly soluble in water and readily soluble in ethanol, ether, and alkaline solutions. It occurs naturally in beech tar and rice heartwood tar, and has a sweet, woody, and smoky aroma.
