Armorcast Structural Material is packed (rolls) dry in a sealed foil envelope and is a flexible fiberglass knit fabric strip that has been saturated with a curable black urethane resin syrup that starts to cure when water is added.
Once wet, the fiber strip becomes tacky and sticks to itself, so it wraps easily around almost any shape or size.
Armorcast Structural Material is resistant to moisture, fungus, acid, alkali, ozone, sunlight, gasoline and high temperatures. It combines long life and very little maintenance.

Where can Armorcast Tape be used?
- Widely used in mining industry to protect cables
- Used as shield of thermal shrinkage cable joint
- Reinforce shield and connector of cable

How do I use it?
- Wearing gloves to protect your hands from the resin.
- Open the pouch and immerse the Ansen armorcast tape in fresh water for 4-6 seconds to activate. The entire contents must be used once the package is opened.
- Apply the Ansen armorcast tape around the damaged area, extending up to 50mm on either side of the cable to ensure complete coverage. The armorcast tape must be applied quickly as curing starts once it is taken out of the water.
- While wrapping, pull each layer tightly and firmly using your hands to mold and squeeze the layers together in a tightening motion.
- Continue to smooth the surface until the Ansen armorcast has fully set.
- Let it cure and dry. Cables can be moved in 30 minutes.
