Melt-type steel fibers
are used to increase the strength of the refractory castables. They are added to the matrix during the mix preparation to prevent crack propagation, thus converting the refractory into a tough and strong composite.
Product use
It is mainly used for the reinforcement of refractory products in various industries such as petrochemical, iron and steel, chemical, power station, cement and rock industries.

At Well, melt-extracted stainless steel fibers
are spun directly from the melt using advanced melt extraction (ME) and melt overflow (MO) processes. Rapid cooling of the fibers during manufacture (equivalent to 50,000 cycles per second) "freezes" the metallurgical structure, leaving it in an optimal state for resistance to high-temperature corrosion, a state unmatched by conventional cast steel. This treatment maximizes the distribution of effective major nickel and/or chromium alloying elements.
Our fiber technology helps to extend the service life of refractory materials and provides additional benefits such as excellent flaking resistance, superior fracture toughness, better wear resistance, superior thermal and mechanical shock resistance, and homogeneous alloy properties. The use of melt extract steel fiber significantly improves refractory durability and performance and reduces refractory installation, maintenance and materials.
