PET Flakes Dryer
Fangtai's PET flakes dryer           is the final drying equipment in our PET bottle washing line. Using high temperatures to dewater the moisture in the PET flakes, this continuous drying equipment is strategically placed after the dewatering machine and the moisture content is initially reduced to approximately 20-30%. The thermal dryer further reduces the moisture content to less than 1%.     
 
How it works
The TPET flakes dryer uses hot air to dry PET flakes, just like a hair dryer. After dehydration, the PET flakes are vacuumed by a conveyor fan and mixed with hot air that passes through a long series of stainless steel tubes that are wound back and forth. As the PET flakes are mixed and rotated in this long transport path, the moisture is effectively dewatered. Finishing with a cyclone separator that mixes the cold air further reduces residual moisture. The cyclone separator is the last line of defence against any dust and fines in the material stream.     
 
Depending on the capacity of the PET bottle washing line, one heater is usually sufficient. However, to ensure the lowest possible moisture content, some PET cleaning plants may require the use of two or even three continuously placed hot spiral heaters.
